Charles is a co-founder and General Partner at Icon Venture Partners, an early-stage, enterprise technology-focused venture capital firm. Charles has been an early-stage investor in technology startups for over 15 years, having spent the twelve years prior to founding Icon as a General Partner at El Dorado Ventures.
In addition to Joyent, Charles’ current investments include Atlantis Computing, Coupa Software and SwiftStack. His prior investments include Compellent Technologies, NuSpeed Internet Systems, Persistence Software, Quiver and Telaxis, among others.
Charles sits on the editorial advisory board of ACM's Queue Magazine and is Chairman of the Camp Chippewa Foundation. Charles received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Colby College.
Khaled is co-CEO of Accelero Capital investment and management group, a firm focused on telecommunication and related media and technology. He has played a pivotal role in the investment, merger, or start up of several companies and brings a wealth of experience in both telecommunication and information technology.
Khaled served as Group President and Chief Operating Officer of VimpelCom Ltd. and Group Executive Chairman of Orascom Telecom Holding from 2010 to 2011. He oversaw the $6.6 billion merger of VimpelCom with Wind Telecom S.p.A, to create the world's sixth largest telecommunications carrier. In 2009 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Orascom Telecom Holding. He was previously COO of Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A., where he led a successful turnaround in three years.
Prior to joining Wind, he was the cofounder, Chairman and CEO of LINKdotNET, the largest private ISP in the Middle East.
Mr. Bishara earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the American University in Cairo where he is a member of the Advisory Board for the Computer Science and Engineering Department.
Don is founder and chairman of Canary Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted exclusively to early detection of cancer. A 30-year veteran of the technology industry, Don was CEO of Openwave Systems from 2000 to 2004 and held senior executive positions at Cisco Systems between1990 and 2000. Don currently serves as Chairman on the board of directors of Calix Networks, Clustrix, Genologics, Teradici and Stratos Bioscience. He has previously served on the public company boards of E-Tek, Isilon, JDS Uniphase, Openwave, Redback Networks, Software.com, and TIBCO. Don is a consulting professor at Stanford University in the School of Medicine and serves on the National Cancer Institutes’ Board of Scientific Advisors. A native of Canada, Listwin holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and an honorary doctorate of law from the University of Saskatchewan.
Scott joined Joyent as CEO in 2014. He previously served as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Cisco's Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group following the acquisition of newScale, Inc.
newScale was the leading provider of cloud automation and management software products. Scott led newScale as CEO from 2002 to 2011.
Prior to newScale, Scott was the founder, President and CEO of Digital Market, Inc. (DMI), the leading provider of Web-based sourcing and procurement solutions for direct materials. Scott founded the company in 1995 by building the world's first Web-based trading exchange conducting over $2B worth of transactions between more than 1000 trading partners. In November of 1999, DMI merged with Agile Software (NASD:AGIL).
Scott also pioneered yet another successful startup, EcoSystems Software, where as a co-founder, he was instrumental in developing an integrated systems management software solution for open systems computing. In 1993, EcoSystems was acquired by Compuware Corporation (NASD:CPWR). His prior experience also includes industry leaders such as Xerox, Hewlett Packard, and Oracle Corporation.
Scott has a BSEE from the University of Rochester and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
Antonio is the CEO of ItaliaOnline, the largest Italian digital group and first national internet company, where he has served since 2011.
Prior to ItaliaOnline, Antonio spent nearly 9 years in marketing and product leadership at Wind Telecommunications and managed the startup of the Internet division.
One of the pioneers of web, search and telecommunications in Italy, his extensive resume also includes leadership roles at Libero, H3G, Olivetti, and the original ItaliaOnline.
Antonio holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Pisa.
Rob is Director of Venture Investments at Intel Capital, joining the company in 2001. Prior, Rob spent 10 years in the software industry, 5 years as an engineer / CTO and an additional 5 years as a software consultant with Arthur Andersen. Rob has a BS in Information Systems from Brigham Young University and a MBA from the University of Chicago.
