Joyent Cloud Project Manager Role
Joyent is looking for a product manager to help evolve the Joyent Cloud experience. The Joyent Cloud Product Manager will collaborate with a mix of business and technical Joyeurs to define and drive the detailed product plans required to make the Joyent Cloud vision a reality.
Areas of ownership will include defining the product offering, improving the customer experience, and working with the broader Product Management team to influence the roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Define end-customer offerings including aspects such as Software Packages supported, Operating Systems offered, and Machine configurations
- Drive product requirements definition and prioritization in support of the Joyent Cloud strategy; Includes writing feature specifications and maintaining product backlogs
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Support, and Operations to reflect customer and business requirements within the Joyent Cloud roadmap
- Maintain overall product and price list
- Prioritize and facilitate integration of partner services
- Drive and prioritize efforts in end-customer documentation
- Work with internal and 3rd parties developers to improve end-user experience
- Own integration and management of 3rd party systems and services
- Partner with program management to anticipate and resolve resource gaps, obstacles and timing issues
Skills and qualifications
- 1-2 yrs product management experience in web services
- Ability to adapt, to be flexible, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong ability to collaborate with 3rd party contributors
- Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex business ideas in a clear, concise fashion.
- Experience with Agile Development methods
- Experience working with remote and distributed teams
