Tagging

A tag is a (relevant) keyword or term that you can associate with an item. Tagged items can then be retrieved or grouped by the tags that you assign to them via a smart group. To add, and/or remove a tag, you simply go to the item you want to tag (you can select multiple items in any list view, by using the check boxes in the first column) select the ‘Tags’ sidebar, then create a new tag or select from previously created tags.

Example You created a wish list of items as gift ideas for Jill. You will be sending this list to everyone attending the party. Since you know this list has to do with ‘Jill’ and ‘Party’ you tag the file with those tags.

Pretty soon you have tagged everything related to the party with the tags ‘party’ and ‘jill’. Now you can create smart folders that display only items related to Jill’s party in any application. You can even share these smart groups with other users in your group of Connector users. Go here to learn more about how you can do this in Smart Groups.
