November 25, 2011 — Italian Internet service provider Libero announced on Friday that it has launched its public cloud based on Joyent’s SmartDataCenter cloud platform.
This news comes a few months after Joyent launched its revamped public cloud platform.
According to the press release, the public cloud offering will offer businesses and developers access to real time infrastructure resources with a pay-as-you-go pricing model.
“Libero wishes to serve clients with any type of cloud computing need,” Antonio Converti, CEO of Libero said in a statement. “Our service also excels at providing highly scalable, performant and efficient computing resources on a temporary basis, such as for massive data analysis, research and development projects, or peek data processing times at month’s end.” Read more
