MySQL Read-Write Splitting with Zeus Traffic Manager

One of the greatest challenges to scaling a large MySQL cluster is successfully splitting traffic so that reads can be independently scaled from writes. Typically, splitting reads and writes requires adding customized code to your application. This code must be modified every time the growth of your application requires the support of additional read-only MySQL databases.

Zeus Traffic Manager SmartMachines provide you with a fast, efficient and truly scalable solution for this problem. ZXTM include the ability to inspect packets. Customized traffic script can be added to ZXTM to send the MySQL writes to a Master DB and the reads to a sequence of MySQL Slave DBs.
