Cloud Deployment Engineer (Hardware Specialist)


As a Cloud Deployment Engineer (Hardware Specialist) you will take a lead role in building infrastructure to ensure that our hardware layer is fit for use in production. Day to day you’ll be working on the systems that underlie our bare metal as a service (BMaaS) infrastructure which validate and prepare hardware before being deployed to production. You’ll collaborate closely with our software engineers, devops, datacenter operations engineers, product owners, tech leads, and other engineers to prioritize and resolve issues.

We are looking for a candidate who will:

  • Take on development and operational responsibility for multiple in-flight projects
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of the modern rackmount server ecosystem.
  • Establish a high-level vision for the solution
  • Have flexible attitude toward working hours as some meetings/presentations will be outside standard business hours
  • Have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work remotely effectively. Previous remote experience is a plus.
  • Be willing to step up and take on responsibilities when the situation calls for it.
  • Not be afraid to disagree with others when the product quality does not meet their standards.
  • Exhibit natural leadership abilities to support, encourage, and mentor other engineers within the team.


  • 5+ years in Systems Administration, DevOps, Datacenter Operations, or related field
  • 3+ years experience with Linux (Alpine, Ubuntu, and CentOS preferred)
  • 1+ years experience with Go and Python
  • Familiarity with Docker
  • Familiarity with WebServices (REST APIs, SOAP, etc)
  • History working with Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and effective testing of infrastructure code
  • Comfortable working with Git/GitHub

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with kubernetes environments
  • Fluent in Korean
