Dell's Partner Program Offers Best-in-Class IaaS

This February, Gartner predicted that both Infrastructure-as-as-Service and the public cloud computing market would experience significant growth in 2013. Given this growth, companies are hyper-focused on providing the absolute best, most innovative cloud services to their customers.

Today, Dell announced a new best-of breed program that will ensure their customers have the best choices and control when it comes to public cloud IaaS with their new Dell Cloud Partner Program. Discontinuing sales of their own current in-house cloud IaaS, based on VMware, Dell will instead serve their customers through a partner ecosystem. Dell will offer customers a choice of vendors and technology, freedom from lock-in to a single platform or pricing model and a central point of solution integration and control.

We’re very pleased that Dell has selected Joyent from the dozens of IaaS vendors to be their customers’ high-performance cloud-native option for real-time web and mobile applications. Dell’s goal to deliver market-leading, end-to-end cloud solutions is closely aligned with our own mission of providing the absolute best in high-performance cloud computing, and we’re excited to collaborate with Dell to better serve their customers. As long-standing partners with Dell, we’re fully aligned with the Dell DNA of providing customers quality, performance, flexibility and value.

The Details

Dell’s customers can immediately begin to purchase products from all three partners through their Dell sales representative. Their newly acquired multi-cloud management platform, Enstratius, will help customers manage both single and multi-cloud environments, and can help integrate the partner offerings into Dell's end-to-end cloud solutions.
