Node.js Knockout in San Francisco: Friday Highlights

Last weekend's Node.js Knockout was a long, strange -- but fun -- trip, and we're still processing all the people we met and the projects they showed us. We shot lots of video of the action here at the San Francisco location which Joyent hosted at our office for the second year in a row. Watch the video for a quick recap of some of the highlights from Friday, including our Chief Evangelist Tom Hughes-Croucher's opening remarks where he discusses how, while Node.js is marginal improvement over some other technologies for building existing applications, it's also an opportunity to think of new projects that take advantage of its particular strengths that may not have been possible before.

We'd like to thank everyone who participated, and everyone who dropped by our office for making this year's event bigger and better than ever -- with a special thanks to Meraki for their help keeping everyone connected over the weekend. And stay tuned to Joyeur for more video highlights from the weekend, including interviews and demos, over the next couple of days.
